Overview
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Lead is responsible for the supervision of procurement of goods and services for various projects and business units. They are responsible for leading or supervising a team of Buyers and Order Administrators in day to day procurement activities.
Your role
- Lead Procurement Activities for a Project.
- Review purchasing documents.
- Supervise and Mentor Buyers/Order Administrators.
- Key Interface with Project Management.
- Lead Supplier negotiations and Kick-off Meetings for procurement.
- Create and Issue Procurement packages as required.
- Interface with the Client for Review and Approval of Procurement packages.
- Ensure procurement data integrity and project status updates at all times.
- Oversee completion of non-conformances.
- Periodic supplier/ shop oversight visits.
- Resolve supply chain issues as they arise.
Supervisory Responsibilities (If Applicable):
- Lead and supervise Procurement activities for Projects and Business Units.

About you
- Minimum 10 years experience in EPCM purchasing, complex engineered components and materials.
- Experience in supplier negotiations.
- Experience in Quality program standards and processes related to supply chain (All levels).
- Experience is mentoring and supervising junior staff.
- Knowledge in Manufacturing, experience at supplier facilities.
- Knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
- Understanding of the financial system, invoicing/milestone payments, Levels of Authority, Ethics/Compliance/Integrity Controls, HSE Requirements/Complex Service contracts including Construction contracts and union trades.
Required Education/Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications:
- Post-Secondary Education preferred.
- SCMP certification or enrolment in SCMP programs is desirable.
- Knowledge of Contract Law and competitive bidding best practices.
Other Aspects (If Applicable):
- May be required to travel or work at Project sites.
- Hybrid work environment, however, projects can mandate 5 days a week in office.
