Overview
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager is accountable for the delivery of assigned project scopes, with an immediate mandate to manage the Fuel Handling scope of work. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing work performed by the Fuel Handling vendor and internal teams, in accordance with approved program governance, processes, and objectives.
The Project Manager is responsible for delivering assigned scopes across all project stages while ensuring safety, quality, cost, schedule, contractual requirements, and stakeholder expectations are met.
The successful candidate's'home office will be based in Mississauga, Ontario, with travel required to vendor offices primarily within Ontario. Limited international travel may be required on an exception basis.
Your role
- Define scope, deliverables, interfaces, schedules, and quality expectations for assigned scopes of work.
- Act as the primary delivery lead for the Fuel Handling scope and other assigned scopes, ensuring alignment with approved program objectives and milestones.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor execution activities to support timely and compliant delivery of assigned scopes.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective and collaborative working relationships.
- Develop and maintain schedule and cost baselines for assigned scopes, including progress measurement, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Coordinate scope, schedule, and cost changes for assigned scopes, ensuring impacts are assessed, documented, and progressed through approved change control processes.
- Maintain visibility of demand versus capacity for assigned scopes and support resource planning discussions with internal teams and vendors.
- Track and control budgets for assigned scopes and report cost and schedule performance in accordance with program controls requirements.
- Apply established project management processes, standards, and tools to support disciplined execution and continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain structured communication, progress tracking, and interface management with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor execution progress, identify risks and issues early, and escalate in accordance with defined governance when required.
- Support continuity of work execution and information flow between AtkinsRéalis and suppliers.
- Support commercial and schedule negotiations by providing technical, cost, and execution inputs, and manage work in accordance with approved contractual agreements.
- Identify improvement opportunities within assigned scopes and support implementation, subject to program approval.
- Ensure deliverables comply with quality assurance requirements, applicable regulations, client expectations, and project-specific procedures.

About you
- Engineering degree, science-based degree, and/or a recognized Project or Program Management qualification.
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary scopes or projects in a complex engineering or technical environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting contract or supplier management activities.
- Experience coordinating and guiding project team members, including setting expectations, monitoring progress, and providing constructive feedback.
- Experience defining scope, deliverables, interfaces, and quality expectations for vendors.
- Experience managing schedule and cost baselines, including change impact assessment and forecasting.
- Experience working with distributed teams and implementing structured communication and reporting practices.
- Experience supporting fiscal performance objectives, including cost control and identification of efficiency opportunities.
- Ability to manage sensitive or confidential information professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate design and engineering activities across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues in a timely manner.
- Strong collaboration, negotiation support, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and impacts.
- Willingness to travel within Ontario as required.
