Your Role
Determine specific project requirements with the client, establish the scope of work, and identify steps and timelines for completion.
Provide engineering services for the conceptualization of industrial mechanical equipment such as conveyors, handling systems, and equipment with various functionalities.
Perform capacity and throughput calculations based on project needs.
Develop technical specifications for conceptualized equipment.
Validate compliance with current standards and verify specifications and other documents produced by suppliers.
Estimate manufacturing costs through supplier solicitations.
Coordinate between various stakeholders (other disciplines, clients, suppliers, etc.).
Provide technical support during equipment installation.
Mentor engineers on your team and support their development.
Delegate work effectively to junior staff while ensuring quality.
Establish and maintain an environment that promotes ethical and professional practices in engineering work.
Perform any other related tasks deemed relevant to the position.

About You
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Over 10 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanics, with strong knowledge of equipment design and selection; experience in consulting engineering is an asset.
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Proven experience in projects involving production lines using automated mechanical equipment.
Experience with utilities typically required for connecting industrial mechanical production equipment.
Detailed knowledge:
Motorized equipment with gearboxes such as roller and belt conveyors; ability to perform calculations for motor and gearbox selection.
Linear axis systems with ball screws and belts.
Use and sizing of pneumatic components in industrial mechanical equipment (valves, cylinders, FRL, etc.).
Familiarity with equipment safety standards (CSA Z432).
Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and act as a resource person in industrial mechanics.
Strong knowledge of the industrial environment.
Recognized for leadership, ability to maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with colleagues and clients while ensuring high efficiency.
Ability to work in a changing environment.
Proficiency in French (spoken and written); bilingualism is an asset.
