Candidate should have:

• A strong academic background with bachelor's degree in civil engineering plus master's degree in Tunnel Engineering, P.hD., or equivalent.

• Ability to lead project teams.

• Deliver projects.

• With5 to 15years of relevant design experience in a consulting environment.

• Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) within a relevant professional association.

• Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.

• Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with international clients.

• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.

• Conversant with tunnelling analysis software like Rocscience suite, Plaxis, FLAC, Phase2 etc.

• A willingness to travel on short term/long term assignments to UK and overseas.

Desirable Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering plus master's degree in Tunnel Engineering, P.hD., or equivalent is preferred.

• Structural engineering codes and standards experience is preferred.

• Strong understanding of Engineering Geology and Tunnel design and Construction Methods.

• Numerical modelling software experience for design of excavations and/or concrete structures is preferred.

• Sufficient post-graduation experience, with a significant proportion gained with an engineering design company undertaking the design of tunnels or related infrastructure in Soft Ground and Hard Ground.
