Junior Transport Consultant

Overview

Our Transport Advisory and Planning team requires a Junior Consultant to join our team in the Middle East to be based in Dubai or Riyadh. This role is well suited to early‑career professionals with an interest in transport planning and advisory services, who are looking to gain hands‑on experience on large‑scale projects across the UAE, KSA, and the wider Middle East. You will join an international team of transport experts, working locally and globally to support key clients and contribute to major programmes. The role will be based in Dubai, with opportunities to work across the broader Middle East. Reporting to Transport Consultant, the successful candidate will work closely with their immediate project team and receive guidance from experienced consultants, planners, and technical specialists.

Your role

  • Support the development of transport plans, policies, standards, and guidelines at city and regional levels.
  • Assist senior consultants and planners with defined components of larger strategic and multi‑disciplinary projects.
  • Gather, structure, and analyse data and evidence to support strategic assessments and recommendations.
  • Contribute to benchmarking, best-practice and high‑level analysis to inform recommendations.
  • Support the preparation of clear, concise technical reports, presentations, and briefing materials for clients.
  • Deliver assigned tasks to agreed deadlines, maintaining high quality and accuracy under supervision.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a transport related degree (or equivalent professional qualification).
  • 0–2 years post‑graduate experience in transport planning or transport consulting.
  • Demonstrated interest or exposure to transport strategy, policy development, and advisory services.
  • Exposure to projects in the Middle East (UAE / KSA) is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. Excel) and GIS software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills across transport planning and advisory services.
  • Highly self‑motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high‑quality project outcomes.
