As part of our continued growth in Wales, we are seeking a Senior Managing Cost Manager with strong experience in advanced technology and data centre programmes, alongside broader infrastructure and built environment sectors. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for commercial oversight, client engagement, and team development, supporting the delivery of complex, cutting-edge projects across the region. You will play an integral role in strengthening our cost management capability, developing client relationships, and shaping the growth of our Wales business.

Your role
- Lead the delivery of cost and commercial management services across complex programmes, including data centres and mission-critical facilities.
- Provide strategic cost advice across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility through to final account.
- Act as a senior client interface, developing and maintaining trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Take ownership of project commercial performance, ensuring robust cost control, forecasting, and risk management.
- Support business development activities, including bids, proposals, and client presentations.
- Contribute to the growth of the Wales business, including capability development and team expansion.
- Collaborate across disciplines and regions to deliver integrated, value-driven solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture.
- Ensure consistent application of best practice, governance, and commercial processes.
- Promote the AtkinsRéalis Cost Management capability in the regional marketplace.

About you
You will bring:
- Chartered status (MRICS or equivalent).
- Strong experience in cost management of complex, high-value projects, ideally including data centres or mission-critical environments.
- Proven ability to manage commercial delivery across pre- and post-contract stages.
- Experience in contract administration (e.g. NEC and/or standard UK forms).
- Demonstrated capability in client-facing roles and stakeholder management.
- A strong understanding of the Welsh and wider UK construction market.
- A track record in winning work and supporting business growth.
- Excellent commercial awareness, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
