Overview
Join our Nuclear Engineering team as a Technical Lead for Fuel Channel and Fuel Handling Analysis, where you will play a key role in delivering complex CANDU 6 retube projects. In this leadership position, you will drive high‑quality engineering execution, ensure compliance with rigorous nuclear standards, and provide technical expertise across multidisciplinary teams. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects while supporting innovation and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
Your Role
- Lead the Fuel Channel and Fuel Handling Analysis team on CANDU 6 retube projects
- Review, verify, and certify engineering deliverables in accordance with ASME Appendix 23 requirements
- Perform Design Lead responsibilities for stress analysis of nuclear pressure boundary components
- Provide technical guidance and resolve complex engineering challenges
- Define engineering scope, task breakdown, and schedules to support project delivery
- Lead structural and stress analyses for fuel channel components and reactor support structures
- Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers while promoting engineering excellence

About You
- Master'S or PhD in Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or related Engineering discipline required.
- Current Professional Engineering designation with the PEO or registration in another province.
- ASME Appendix 23 certification (or eligibility) required.
- Proficiency in nuclear engineering principles, including CSA N285 and ASME Section III codes and standards
- Ability to perform technical leadership and Design Lead responsibilities in complex engineering environments
- Aptitude for analyzing structural and stress behaviour of pressure boundary components
- Ability to mentor, guide, and support engineering teams in a collaborative setting
- Proficiency in communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
