Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Planner/ Scheduler to join our team in Vancouver, BC, as we are expanding our operations in British Columbia and across Canada. This role under the project services group involves supporting our project managers and engineering teams to deliver design and support projects to our clients, with various and diverse types of projects.

The position reports to the Planning and Scheduling Manager, AtkinsRéalis Canada, and will be based in Vancouver, BC, however, can support other projects across the country and overseas if needed.

Your role

  • Review project documents and liaise with project teams to identify scope components and requirements. Also, layout the scope over the work breakdown structure as agreed with project leads and as correlates with the budget structure.
  • Establish project schedules using known industry software to meet project requirements (Primavera P6, MS Project and/or TILOS).
  • Create, arrange, load and assess schedule resources to different schedule levels and adjust/level resources to meet project plans.
  • Identify the critical path and near-critical path using CPM scheduling method and reflect the same along with other schedule assumptions on the basis of the schedule.
  • Conduct review sessions with project teams and clients in order to obtain the team's buy-in and set schedules as baselines.
  • Confer with project and client teams on a regular basis, track time and sequence changes to update the schedule and issue baseline schedule revisions as applicable.
  • Support other project management and project controls functions and perform other duties related to planning and scheduling when required by project teams.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering Management or a related field.
  • Certification with AACE, PMI or CMAA is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in scheduling within Engineering projects (experience in diverse project types is preferred).
  • Proficiency in scheduling software; MS-Project and Primavera P6.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (proficiency in French is preferred).

Expected compensation for this role is between $100,200 - $130,000 CAD annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
