Overview

The Stakeholder Engineer will be responsible for supporting the identification, coordination, and management of relationships with key stakeholders associated with master planning, buildings, and infrastructure projects during the design stage. This role involves implementing stakeholder engagement strategies, facilitating communication with relevant authorities and stakeholders, and ensuring stakeholder requirements are incorporated into project deliverables. The Stakeholder Engineer will engage with government bodies, local authorities, environmental agencies, utility providers, local interest groups, and other stakeholders to support the timely acquisition of all required NOCs, permits, and approvals.

Your role

  • Identify and maintain stakeholder registers, including clients, government entities, local authorities, utility providers, local interest groups, and other relevant parties.
  • Support the implementation of stakeholder engagement plans and maintain regular communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor stakeholder requirements and identify potential issues, risks, and constraints that may impact project delivery.
  • Coordinate the submission, tracking, and follow-up of NOCs, permits, approvals, and stakeholder-related documentation.
  • Prepare stakeholder progress reports, trackers, and status updates for project teams and clients.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings, workshops, and technical discussions, ensuring stakeholder comments and requirements are captured and communicated to the design team.
  • Liaise with internal disciplines to ensure stakeholder requirements are addressed within project designs and deliverables.
  • Support the resolution of stakeholder comments and facilitate timely closure of stakeholder actions.

About you

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications related to stakeholder management, project coordination, or infrastructure development are desirable.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in stakeholder coordination/engineering, preferably within master planning, buildings, or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience coordinating with government authorities, utility agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Knowledge of permitting, approvals, NOC processes, and stakeholder engagement practices.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Understanding of project design and construction processes within the infrastructure and development sector.

Preferred Skills

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to identify stakeholder-related risks, issues, and opportunities and propose practical solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in tracking approvals, stakeholder comments, and project documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Coordination Skills: Ability to manage multiple stakeholder interfaces and deadlines simultaneously.
