Our Infrastructure business is actively seeking graduates to join our growing internationally respected Airport team. We’re well established at all major UK airports, including Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester and have a growing portfolio of overseas commissions, so can offer exciting opportunities to support on a wide range of UK and international airport projects.

Are you ready to take up a vital role in shaping some of our exciting airport projects? How about joining our talented Airport Planning Team, where everyone has a voice, and together we face our clients' challenges head-on.

Bring your skills to the mix as a Graduate Airport Planner, where you'll play a vital role in helping to deliver our projects in the UK, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, USA, Canada and Australia. Our activities include consulting advice on brand new large scale airport masterplans, airport capacity planning for short to medium term growth as well as providing airport advisory services.  We are also industry leaders within the Urban Air Mobility Sector and are involved in delivering masterplanning expertise in the development of Vertiports.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the delivery of Airport Masterplanning projects and wider studies on airfield layout, passenger terminal and surface access planning
  • Working closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver Airport Planning and design expertise
  • Ability to develop client relationships and contribute to work winning activities
  • Data analysis, demand and capacity assessment and interpretation.
  • Benchmarking to support analysis, modelling and simulation
  • Writing of technical reports and presentations
  • Attending and presenting at project meetings

As a Civil Engineering graduate with a demonstrable interest in airports and more specifically airfield infrastructure [including pavements, drainage and Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL)], you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of airport-related design projects. This role is ideal for graduates aspiring to work in the aviation industry, joining a team of passionate industry experts. Our team supports Civil Engineering graduates going through our Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) training scheme.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and engineering airfield infrastructure, including runways, taxiways and aircraft aprons
  • Managing pavement rehabilitation projects to extend the lifespan of airfield surfaces.
  • Conducting airfield asset surveys to assess pavement conditions
  • Preparing and presenting technical reports, detailed engineering drawings and plans.
  • Promoting sustainability and digital innovations in aviation engineering
  • Participating in project and client meetings
