Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Architectural Engineer to support the construction supervision, design review, technical coordination, and delivery of major high-rise residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and large-scale building developments in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will ensure that architectural works are executed in compliance with approved designs, project specifications, Saudi regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
Your role
- Review and supervise architectural construction works for high-rise and large-scale building projects.
- Ensure architectural works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract requirements, and applicable Saudi regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate architectural activities with structural, mechanical, electrical, landscape, and other project disciplines.
- Review and resolve architectural design conflicts, technical queries, and site-related issues.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to quality standards and project schedules.
- Review material samples and ensure approved materials are used throughout construction.
- Participate in design coordination meetings, progress meetings, and technical workshops.
- Assist in value engineering exercises and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor compliance with accessibility standards, fire and life safety requirements, and sustainability objectives.
- Support authority inspections, approvals, and compliance requirements.
- Review contractor progress reports and provide technical input regarding project status.
- Ensure proper implementation of QA/QC procedures for architectural works.
- Monitor snagging, de-snagging, testing, and handover activities.
- Review as-built drawings, operation manuals, warranties, and project closeout documentation.
- Prepare architectural inspection reports, technical reports, and progress updates.
- Support project handover and defect liability period inspections.
- Coordinate BIM-related architectural reviews and multidisciplinary clash resolution activities.

About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Master's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Urban Design is preferred.
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is preferred.
- Professional registration or membership with recognized architectural institutions is desirable.
- LEED AP, Mostadam, or sustainability-related certifications are an advantage.
- 10 to 15 years of professional Architectural Engineering experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience on major high-rise and large-scale building projects.
- Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC experience is highly preferred.
- Experience working with consultants, PMCs, developers, and contractors.
- Demonstrated experience during construction supervision, testing, commissioning, and project handover phases.
- Experience in design review, material approvals, mock-up assessments, and constructability reviews.
- Strong understanding of sustainable building practices and green building certification requirements.
- Ability to interpret and review architectural drawings, technical specifications, and BIM models.
