Hi, I am Sweta Trivedi – Practice Manager, Land Development based out of Bengaluru, India. This has helped me become an essential contributor to the success of the Land Development Practice.

What was the starting point of your growth journey?

One of the initial achievements that really cracked it for me were the projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). When I was leading these projects, where it was a venture into uncharted territories for the team in India - new clients, unfamiliar design sensibilities, and projects rooted in the distinct landscape of Saudi Arabia. But as a team we were able to deliver extremely well with remarkable adaptability, creative thinking and technical expertise. With all these, this initiative became a major opportunity for us! I was able to get gain the confidence of my clients because of my ability to deal with ambiguity, absorbing client pressure and providing technical solutions to complex issues.

What worked for you?

One thing led to another and these projects garnered recognition from stakeholders highlighting my ability to deliver results every time. This lead to my roles & responsibilities extending beyond individual projects as I began spearheading growth & expansion of our Landscape and Public Realm Team, specific to the Middle East. I then began mentoring my team, bringing in growth, and also facilitating strategic hires where necessary. And My team continues to grow organically & inorganically and now, in my current role, I am leading Land Development from the AtkinsRéalis Global Technology Center (GTC) in India as Practice Manager.

What has been the most interesting aspect of this role?

Land Development is a core practice for AtkinsRéalis which includes a combination of services – Landscape & Public Realm, Urban Design & Master Planning, Infrastructure Services, GIS and Sustainability. The Land Development practice serves the most pivotal projects in the Middle East region. It also is an important growth area for the GTC, India. As a leader, I have been able to turn my vision into reality. This role has helped me demonstrate my organisational skills in bringing complex teams together. My efforts to build alignment and consensus have not only facilitated the shaping of the Land Development business in India, but also paved the way for structured growth of the practice.

What will a new hire like about this team?

My success isn't entirely my own. It is the core values of the company that foster a culture of collaboration and excellence that's helped push this far. It is with my entire team and the organisation's trust in my leadership, that I was able to grow and create impact. The Land Development team shows strong commitment to not only provide quality services to the clients but also build a culture of kinship wherein each team member contributes to their best potential. In this enthusiastic and dynamic team, you can expect to work and contribute to some of the best opportunities that help mould you into a thorough professional.

Is there more to offer?

My journey is just a testament to the opportunities available at AtkinsRéalis. If you too are really passionate about making a meaningful impact, I invite you to join our team.
