Join us as a Highways Engineer in our Transportation team and help drive the digital transformation of the highways sector. You'll work within collaborative design teams across the UK and beyond, shaping projects that improve how people live and move.

As part of our Scotland Highways and Active Travel team, you'll contribute to landmark programmes including the A9 Dalraddy–Slochd, A83 Rest & Be Thankful, East Airdrie Link Road, Ravenscraig Access Infrastructure South, and Westerhill Development Link Road. You'll also support major energy infrastructure such as the Skye Overhead Line Realignment.

Your role

  • Be part of the team responsible for the technical delivery of highway infrastructure projects.
  • Using highways design, drainage and other software packages to deliver technically robust designs.
  • Mentoring and coaching team members and taking responsibility for their technical development.
  • Assisting Project Managers on technical aspects of designs from project initiation through to completion.
  • Delegating work to team members, programming deliverables and monitoring progress.
  • Support the business in work winning activities including representing the business at networking events and preparing tenders.
