The Industrial Department in our Québec and Montréal offices is currently seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team.
Your Role
- Prepare drawings and related documents, including:
- Single-line and three-line diagrams;
- Layout drawings for motors, lighting, cable trays, and grounding;
- Material lists, cable lists, and quantity take-offs.
- Perform preliminary and detailed design of auxiliary service systems, including:
- Low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution;
- Low- and medium-voltage system wiring;
- Cable tray and conduit design;
- Electrical motor connections;
- Grounding system design.
- Prepare detailed and performance specifications for the supply and installation of equipment and systems, including:
- Low- and medium-voltage switchgear;
- Motor control centers;
- Power transformers;
- DC systems and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems;
- Electrical equipment associated with mechanical systems;
- Other electrical systems (lighting, grounding, cables and cable trays, fire detection, etc.).
- Perform additional tasks, such as:
- Review manufacturer documents (technical sheets, shop drawings, calculations, etc.);
- Conduct site surveys;
- Maintain complete project documentation;
- Estimate construction costs;
- Monitor construction work;
- Participate in commissioning activities;
- Perform other related tasks.

About You
- College diploma (DEC) in Industrial Electronics Technology (electrodynamics option, instrumentation option is an asset) or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience in electrical work, ideally in engineering firms or in the mining & metals, petrochemical, or aluminum industries;
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an asset;
- Ability to communicate in French (spoken and written).
