Overview
The Project Manager – Material Management & Logistics reports to the Qinshan Tooling Project Director and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all material management, inventory control, packaging, crating, and logistics activities in support of the Qinshan Retube Project.
This role also supports Tooling Project Managers by coordinating vendor activities, tracking technical deliverables, maintaining schedules, and facilitating communication across engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, this position ensures that tooling, equipment, and materials are properly received, tracked, stored, packaged, preserved, and shipped in compliance with nuclear quality standards, export regulations, and transportation requirements enabling safe, compliant, and timely project execution.
Your role
- Lead and coordinate material management, inventory control, handling, packaging, crating, and logistics activities for project tooling and equipment.
- Manage material receipt, storage, tracking, and inventory accuracy to ensure full traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure packaging and crating solutions meet engineering specifications, QA requirements, export controls, and transportation standards.
- Develop and maintain material, inventory, packaging, preservation, and logistics plans, including handling and shipping requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, QA, Facilities, and Project teams to ensure material readiness and resolve issues.
- Oversee vendors and contractors providing packaging, crating, inventory, and logistics services.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation, including inventory records, packing lists, crate drawings, and shipment records.
- Support readiness reviews, audits, and inspections related to material control and logistics processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to material availability, inventory discrepancies, schedule, quality, and transportation.
- Provide regular status updates and support issue resolution aligned with project milestones.

About you
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in material management, inventory control, logistics, packaging, or crating, preferably in nuclear or other regulated environments.
- Experience with packaging, preservation, and crating of complex equipment or tooling is an asset.
- Experience with inventory tracking systems, material traceability, and warehouse operations is an asset.
- Familiarity with nuclear QA programs and export control requirements is an asset.
- Communication: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Technical: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications is an asset.

Work Locations:
- Primary support at Candu Tooling sites in Cambridge or Richmond Hill.
- Travel to offices in Whitby and Mississauga will be required.
