Overview

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Municipal Engineering team, based in either our Newfoundland and Labrador or Nova Scotia offices. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful infrastructure projects that directly impact the communities we serve.

Your role

As a key member of our municipal engineering group, you will:

  • Lead and contribute to the design of linear infrastructure projects, primarily serving municipal clients.

  • Undertake and support water, sanitary, and storm infrastructure studies, including system assessments, capacity evaluations, and servicing strategies.

  • Support site development projects for industrial and utility clients.

  • Develop technical designs, analyses, and drawings for civil and municipal infrastructure projects.

  • Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including planning, design, and construction personnel.

  • Participate in the preparation of proposals and service offerings.

  • Build strong client relationships by ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing team environment.

About you

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

  • Professional registration with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) or Engineers Nova Scotia (or eligibility to transfer).

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in municipal and civil infrastructure projects.

  • Working knowledge of:

    • WaterCAD.

    • SewerCAD.

    • PCSWMM.

    • AutoCAD.

    • Civil 3D.

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Additional Information

Expected compensation for this role is between $93,800 - $129,000 annually . Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
