Sr. Wet Utilities Engineer

Doha, Ad Dawhah, Qatar

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is looking for an experienced highly motivated, detail oriented and a self-starter for the Position of Senior Wet Utilities Engineer in Qatar. This person will be carrying out a mix of functions that span from internal process improvements to supporting project delivery. Would be involved in the creation of designs of various projects related to wet utilities; would be involved on a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients/Lead Project Offices (LPOs). The candidate will also actively support project teams on proposal and project delivery tasks.

Your role

  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings related to wet utilities.
  • Performs pump system engineering calculations.
  • Performs hydraulic modelling analysis for pressure and gravity networks.
  • Contributes to technical report writing and data/analysis summary tables and exhibits
  • Develop the Design report/ specifications for variety of projects.
  • To perform work with minimum supervision.
  • To participate in Multi Discipline coordination's'and coordination's with LPOs and Clients.
  • To work in various CDE- ProjectWise, BIM 360, MS teams, SharePoint sites etc.
  • To perform Utility Clash analysis and Clash resolution exercise.
  • To performs quality control checks of design calculations or drawings.
  • Should be able to present design solutions in meeting with clients/LPOs as required.
  • Apply AtkinsRéalis Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) standards and Business Management System (BMS).

About you

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from a reputed institute. UPDA Grade A registration is mandatory.
  • A Minimum of 15 years of experience in the infra projects
  • Proven experience of involvements in Wet utilities design- Storm water , Wastewater, Potable water and TSE for UK, Middle East and other regions.
  • Should be able to use various software's like Microdrainage, CivilStorm, Sewergems/Watergems etc.
  • Working knowledge of BIM platforms like Civil3D, Microstation and/or Open Roads/ Inroads/ MX Road, Revit. Navisworks etc.
  • Experience in International Standards and Middle East Standards.
  • Experience of leading and delivering major Infrastructure projects at Master plan, Concept and Detailed Design stages.
  • Engineering consultancy experience is preferred.
