Overview

The IT Project Manager will deliver projects within the Portfolio Management Office. You will be part of a dynamic fast pace team delivering exemplary customer experience to our end users by delivering key business deployments. You will manage the delivery of value-based IT solutions to AtkinsRéalis divisions through practical and pragmatic application of project management disciplines, ensuring customers are provided with timely outputs and outcomes that deliver value, and demonstrate how professional project management benefits the organisation.

Your role

  • Undertaking internal project management assignments to meet the specific needs of the organisations Divisions and Functions.
  • Manage cross-disciplinary teams to ensure progress and delivery of products in accordance with agreed timescales, quality, processes and procedures.
  • Ensure practical and pragmatic application of delivery approaches, providing an understanding and consultative approach.
  • Work closely with customers, aiding the development and delivery of requirements to enable accurate and clear understanding of needs and aspirations.
  • Negotiate resources required for project delivery teams.
  • Assist with the creation of business cases for projects if required.
  • Interface with and manage outsourced and managed service partners to ensure best value solutions are delivered across the organisation.
  • Negotiate resources required for project delivery teams both internally from partnered organisations.

About you

  • Practitioner of project management methods and practices.
  • Bilingualism (French & English)*
  • Attained an appropriate level of project management practitioner level qualification and/or can demonstrate extensive application of formal project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall models, including hybrid approaches.
  • Experience of budget and cost management and control.
  • Clearly evidenced track record of successful project delivery through application of project management principles, methods, techniques and tools from initiation through to implementation.
  • Working knowledge and application of techniques including business case preparation, requirements management, planning, risk and issue management, change control, and configuration management.
  • Good all-round knowledge of Information Technology.
  • Ability to quickly gain high-level understanding of new technology and development processes.
  • Well-rounded individual who will create a highly effective project team delivering value to our customers.
  • Have a bias toward action and can break down complex problems into steps that drive delivery at speed.
  • Be able to demonstrate breadth and depth knowledge in products and services associated within Technical Services.
  • Appreciation of user-experience, business and commercial issues is a must.
  • Provide leadership through a proactive can-do attitude.
  • Inquisitive and adopts a creative approach to their work.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate, clearly and succinctly, at all levels from technical though to senior management.
  • Able to prioritise activities with conflicting demands.
  • Able to manage workload and work at the correct level of detail.

* Member of the Canadian or Global Leadership Team: This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with members of the Canadian or global leadership team located outside Québec.

Desirable:

  • A background in Technical Services and awareness of 3rd party services.
  • PMP certification beneficial.
  • Previous management experience desirable.
  • Travel to other offices in the UK and potentially overseas is a requirement of this role.
