Your role
- Develop and implement plans for assigned tasks, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Manage technical integration and interface control across one or more related disciplines within assigned projects.
- Select and review design and analysis methods, materials, components, equipment, and processes to ensure the safety and performance of structures, systems, and components.
- Ensure that appropriately qualified staff are assigned to the project, with responsibilities aligned to their skills and experience.
- Provide coaching, supervision, and performance feedback to team members.
- Coordinate on staff recruitment and training initiatives.
- Offer technical guidance and insights to support team development and project success.
- Oversee technical deliverables, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Ensure that final deliverables meet customer requirements and comply with applicable nuclear codes, regulations, and standards.
- Review and approve key technical documentation for the project or specific project phases.
- Identify and propose improvements proactively and in response to customer feedback.
- Liaise with internal and external client engineering teams on technical matters, as delegated by the Engineering Director.

About you
- University degree in an applicable field of engineering or science.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, qualified to seal engineering documents in a relevant field of engineering, or eligible to obtain for such registration within 6 months of hiring for the Engineering Technical Manager.
- At least 3 years of experience in managing and/or performing safety and licensing work.
- At least 5 years of applicable engineering experience including applicable experience prior to engineering management roles.
- Sound knowledge of multiple engineering fields and of nuclear technologies.
- Demonstrated skills in the management of several complex technical projects, leadership, and project management of a highly technical group.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills in the development of team members and support staff.
- Demonstrated business acumen – the ability to think, plan and negotiate strategically with a strong commercial orientation and good understanding of financial measurements.
- Strong communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent client focus and conflict resolution skills.
- Additional, preferred qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance.
- Experience in executing projects that are subject to import/export controls.
- Experience in managing sub consultants and work sharing with other offices within a company.

Candu Energy Inc. is looking to hire a Technical Manager for a full-time regular position. This role, in support of Cernavoda 3 and 4 New Build, Monark development program, and other projects, is responsible for delivering the internal engineering work and reports to the Buenos Aires' office Engineering Director.
This is a full-time position that includes an 18-24 month relocation to our Buenos Aires office in Argentina.
