Overview
AtkinsRéalis is one of the world's leading providers of professional engineering consulting services with offices across Ireland.
We are seeking a Transport Major Projects Design and Build Manager for road, rail and public transport schemes throughout Ireland. The candidate must be a Chartered Engineer and should have extensive experience in design and build projects, ideally leading designs for main contractor clients in Ireland. The candidate will join our busy transportation team in Ireland, based in our Cork office, with flexible hybrid working available.
Your Role
- The role will involve team building and leadership, mentoring staff, managing planning and delivery of design and build transport projects throughout Ireland for main contractor clients.
- The candidate will also be involved in business development activity, including managing relationships with main contractor clients, gathering market intelligence and leading tender designs for major design and build transport projects.

About you
- Extensive relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
- Educated to degree level (Level 8/9).
- Chartered Engineer.
- Computer literate and able to work efficiently with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledgeable of relevant design standards and with the ability to transfer this knowledge into practical, buildable and value for money designs.
- Experience of NEC and Irish Public Works Contracts
- Experience of design and build projects.
- Experience in planning and design of transport schemes.
- Full Irish / EU driving licence.

- Must be an excellent communicator.
- Must be able to deal confidently with clients, staff reports and senior managers.
- Excellent interpersonal , written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of personal integrity and commitment to upholding company values.
- Flexible approach with ability to multi-task and prioritise.
