Overview
As a Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the delivery of cost management and commercial services across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will gain practical experience throughout all project stages, from feasibility and design through to construction and final account settlement.
Your role
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
- Support tender preparation, analysis, and procurement activities.
- Measure quantities and prepare bills of quantities where required.
- Monitor project costs and assist with cost reporting.
- Review contractor valuations and variations.
- Assist in preparing financial and commercial reports for clients.
- Work closely with senior quantity surveyors, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Willing to learn compliance with company procedures and industry best practices.

About you
Essential Requirements
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Full eligibility to work in Ireland.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous internship, placement, or construction industry experience.
- Knowledge of Irish construction contracts (PWFC & RIAI) and procurement methods.
- Working towards membership of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) and/or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
- Willing to learn cost management software and digital construction tools.
- Driving licence.
