Overview
AtkinsRéalis has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Site Supervisor in Control and Protection for the refurbishment work at the Isle-Maligne hydroelectric power plant in Alma, Lac St-Jean.
You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site activities related to the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Control and Protection systems for turbine-generator units and plant auxiliaries.
You will ensure technical compliance of the work with single-line diagrams, protection logic, interconnection plans, and functional requirements defined by engineering and applicable safety standards.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment with career advancement opportunities; the workplace will be in Alma, specifically at the Isle-Maligne power plant (CIM), owned by Rio Tinto. The candidate will report to the Construction Superintendent.
Your Role
Supervise teams of technicians specialized in instrumentation, control, and protection on site.
Plan and coordinate work in collaboration with other trade groups.
Ensure compliance with schedules and allocated budgets.
Verify that installations meet plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
Identify and resolve technical issues on site.
Ensure worker safety and compliance with safety procedures.
Prepare site progress reports and communicate regularly with project management.
Participate in site meetings and coordinate interventions with other stakeholders.

About You
Degree in a relevant field.
Significant experience (5 to 10 years) in site supervision, preferably in hydroelectric power plants or in control and protection systems.
In-depth knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret protection logic, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
Strong project management and team coordination skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong ability to work as part of a team.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to communicate in French (spoken and written).
ASP Construction certification.
