Overview
AtkinsRéalis is proud to contribute to the modernization and rehabilitation of the Îles Maligne hydroelectric power plant, located in Alma, Québec.
This major project aims to ensure the long-term sustainability and energy efficiency of this strategic infrastructure by integrating sustainable and innovative solutions.
The work includes upgrading equipment, improving mechanical and electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
This project is being delivered under an EPCM model (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management), which requires close coordination between all disciplines.
Particular attention is given to the HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) vision to ensure a safe work environment that complies with the highest standards.
We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support the leadership team in establishing HR strategies and shaping the project culture.
Your Role
- Contribute to the operationalization of the project strategy by helping leaders identify, prioritize, and develop organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes, while balancing project needs with partners' business units' requirements for consistency and fairness.
- Collaborate with project leadership on strategic workforce planning.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the project plan and its connection to partner organizations to effectively integrate HR processes.
- Lead the action plan for project resource recruitment in partnership with Talent Acquisition and project leadership, involving relevant stakeholders (partners, internal TPO representatives, etc.) as needed.
- Communicate staffing and recruitment initiatives and provide regular updates to various stakeholders (e.g., project director, subcontractor representatives, partners' HR and recruitment teams).
- Lead the project HR plan and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Coordinate the HR team of sub‑consultants. Build a strong working relationship with partner HR teams as well as HR leads from sub‑consultants.
- Lead the onboarding program and enhance it as needed.
- Support managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle on key topics: recruitment, onboarding, goal setting, development, performance management, diversity and inclusion, compensation, employment equity, mobility, change management, team efficiency, and cohesion.
- Identify project needs with implications for HR strategy and policies, and provide direct support in developing and implementing organizational effectiveness strategies.
- Be responsible for the final validation of candidates before their presentation to the project director.
- Keep HR sections of personnel tracking documents up to date.
- Advise project leadership on training and development opportunities for employees, in coordination with partners and functional HR.
- Work on employee engagement initiatives to strengthen culture and improve retention of key talent across partner and subcontractor resources.
- Participate in internal and external HR communities of practice to stay current with trends in human resources management.
- Identify legal requirements and government reporting obligations affecting HR functions and ensure that policies, procedures, audits, and reports are compliant.
- Collaborate with partners to demobilize personnel from existing projects and integrate them smoothly into this project.

About You
- Over 8 years of progressive HR generalist experience, ideally with strong exposure to performance management, complex employee relations, program implementation, and facilitation.
- Bilingualism (French & English) *
- University degree or program in Human Resources Management from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- CRHA designation is an asset.
- Strong initiative and ability to anticipate needs.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of the project structure and influence decisions.
- Collaborative team spirit.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience in the construction sector, ideally on a major project, is an asset.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Full-time presence, 5 days per week, at the project office.
* Member of the Canadian or Global Leadership Team:This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with members of the Canadian or global leadership team located outside Québec.
