Overview

The Mechanical Supervisor oversees on-site mechanical installation and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project schedules. This role involves coordinating manpower, monitoring progress, and supporting quality checks for successful project delivery.

Your role

  • Supervise and coordinate all mechanical work at the construction site, including equipment installation, alignment, and testing.
  • Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor daily progress, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization to meet project timelines.
  • Conduct site inspections and verify compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with engineers and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and implement design changes.
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, punch lists, and assist in material tracking.
  • Ensure proper handling and installation of mechanical equipment, piping, and related components.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Support pre-commissioning and testing activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Construction Manager.

About you

  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3–7 years of experience in mechanical installation and supervision, preferably in industrial or EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment installation, and maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
  • Experience in site coordination and working with multicultural teams.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and site compliance requirements.
