Overview
We are looking for engineers, scientists and technologists to join our Site Assessment and Remediation (SAR) team in the Kootenay's, Vancouver, Vancouver Island or Kelowna - Okanagan. The Environmental Project Manager will be responsible for supporting our local environment team on a variety of projects in the site assessment, remediation, and environmental monitoring sectors. The ideal candidate is a graduate of a diploma or degree program, or an intermediate level professional with relevant experience. You will report to the team leads and gain experience working with experts in the environmental field.
Our SAR group offers consulting services in the following areas: Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation, including Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, as well as Detailed Site Investigations; Geotechnical Field Assessments; Mine Sites, Environmental Permitting and Management, including environmental monitoring support for construction related projects; and Hydrogeology Field Assessments.
Locations - Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Nelson, or Cranbrook, BC.
Your role
- Develop scope of activities and budgets for contaminated sites investigation or remediation projects.
- Coordinate and manage environmental projects by setting priorities, assessing and mitigating risks, monitoring performance, and preparing work plans and technical reports to support field programs.
- Apply a robust understanding and current knowledge of BC environmental regulations, protocols and technical guidance documents (experience and knowledge of federal regulations is an asset)
- Coordinate the execution of field programs, including intrusive investigations (drilling and test pitting), monitoring well installation, groundwater monitoring and sampling, soil vapour, sediment, surface water or porewater sampling, remedial excavations, and other specified tasks.
- Perform project management functions including budgets, schedule, communication, resources, HSE, and quality.
- Supervise subcontractors and subconsultants during project execution.
- Prepare technical reports and proposals by documenting scope and methodologies, evaluating and interpreting data and findings, and developing conclusions, recommendations, and client-focused responses to RFQs and RFPs.

About you
- 10+ years of progressive experience in contaminated site investigation, environmental assessment, and remediation.
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Science, or a related discipline; a professional designation in British Columbia (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., AScT, P.Chem, etc.) is required.
- Demonstrated experience managing environmental scopes of work, including budgeting, scheduling, regulatory approvals, compliance monitoring, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical expertise in mining-sector environmental work, including abandoned mine sites, remediation strategies, reclamation planning, or mine closure design would be considered an asset.
- In depth knowledge of municipal, provincial and federal environmental standards, regulations and guidelines as they apply to environmental investigation and remediation projects in British Columbia (and other parts of Canada as applicable on a project specific basis).
- Proven ability to prepare high-quality technical reports, synthesize complex data, and clearly communicate adaptation strategies and recommendations to clients and non-technical audiences.

Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $85,300- $117,300 annually) (Only Applicable to British Columbia). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
