Noise and Vibration Mechanical Engineer (French Speaker)

Your role

  • Conduct impact, compliance, and noise reduction studies across industrial, road, rail, renewable energy, building, and institutional projects.
  • Perform sound propagation calculations for both indoor and outdoor environments using specialized software.
  • Evaluate mitigation measures and verify their performance to ensure effective noise and vibration control.
  • Write and contribute to study reports, providing clear and thorough documentation of findings and recommendations.
  • Prepare service proposals and participate in business development activities to expand the team's project portfolio.
  • Undertake calculation verifications to ensure accuracy and reliability of analyses.

About you

  • University degree in engineering or science with Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and French.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with proven advanced skills in utilizing Excel.
  • Self-starter with the competence to take initiative and go beyond what the job situation requires.
  • More than five years of experience in the field of acoustics and vibrations.
  • Solid theoretical and practical understanding of acoustics and vibration fundamentals, including human perception, sound propagation in both free and reverberant fields, and general approaches to noise and vibration control.
  • Proven experience using specialized noise prediction and modeling software such as SoundPLAN and CadnA.
  • Ability to work across a variety of time zones.

Overview

The Climate Resiliency, Sustainability, Air and Acoustics (CRSAA) team is seeking a dedicated Noise and Vibration Professional to support a diverse range of infrastructure, building, and industrial projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute expertise in acoustics and vibrations to advance the team's goals.

As a Noise and Vibration Professional, you will work under the guidance of the Acoustics and Vibrations Team Lead. Your responsibilities will include conducting various studies and analyses, preparing technical documentation, and supporting business development efforts.
