Overview
We are seeking a Principal Project Manager to join our US RBT Mountain Sector Team, reporting to the Nevada Division Manager, to lead the delivery of highly complex, multi‑disciplinary projects while driving integrated local and national strategy, business development, and key client engagement. The role will provide executive‑level guidance to project teams, ensuring technical excellence, quality management, financial performance, and contract compliance. It will also mentor senior project managers and technical staff to support organizational growth and operational success, working collaboratively across business units and leadership groups. This role will work across our business, in close collaboration with:

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious initiative-taker to be a key contributor to growth and expansion of our business across local and national efforts. You will be a key face of the company, brand ambassador, and lead for strategic growth and expansion of our services throughout the region. You will also drive our continued growth focused on targeted clients and markets.
The Principal Project Manager will lead the tactical and executive‑level oversight of highly complex, multi‑disciplinary, and technically specialized projects; guide strategic decision‑making on project execution, resource allocation, and quality assurance; mentor and direct senior project managers and technical teams; drive business development pursuits and proposal strategies; and ensure successful delivery, compliance, and financial performance across major initiatives. This role requires a strong engineering and business development background, deep understanding of transportation, traffic, and ITS knowledge, and exceptional leadership skills to drive technical excellence. The successful candidate will ensure innovative, efficient, and sustainable design solutions while collaborating across multiple disciplines to deliver world-class projects for our clients.
Client Development: Maintain strong relationships with public‑ and private‑sector clients while leading opportunity development, proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations. Represent both the firm and its clients with regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and community stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and long‑term strategic growth.
Technical Excellence: Provide recognized technical leadership by guiding teams through complex engineering challenges and ensuring adherence to rigorous standards. Establish quality assurance processes and mentor technical staff to drive innovation, consistency, and continuous improvement.
Resource Development: Mentor and develop project managers and technical professionals through coaching, performance feedback, and career planning. Strengthen team capability and technical depth to support long‑term organizational growth and operational excellence.
Technology & Market Analysis: Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and market conditions to inform strategic planning and innovation. Use these insights to identify opportunities, enhance competitiveness, and support forward‑looking business decisions.
Collaboration: Partner closely with leadership, technical teams, and account managers across the organization to align on strategy, delivery, and development goals. Facilitate cross‑disciplinary coordination to improve communication, efficiency, and project outcomes.
Project Delivery: Oversee complex project execution through effective planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. Ensure rigorous quality control and provide strategic guidance to project teams to achieve high‑value, technically sound results.
Reporting: Deliver clear, executive‑level reporting on project status, financial performance, risks, and strategic opportunities. Maintain consistent internal documentation and communication to support alignment, accountability, and informed decision‑making.

- Creating, administering, and maintaining projects and programs in Unifier.
- Performing project/shell-level administration (managing users & groups, cost sheet, activity sheet, and business process setups).
- Creating UDRs and in-app dashboards.
- Documenting and maintaining user enhancement requests. Coordinating testing of enhancements.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Training new users and updating training documentation as required.
- Facilitating communication of enhancements and issues. Staying current on latest features and best practices.

Additional information
Expected compensation range is between $180,000 - $200,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
