Overview
We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer to join our team in the Jacksonville, FL Urban office to work on a variety of structural engineering projects. This will be an embedded position full-time in our client's'office (not remote).
Your role
- Designing bridges and other ancillary structures.
- Perform design using OpenRoad Modeler.
- May require some travel to the Main District Lake City office for collaboration with other FDOT staff members.
- Selects problems for investigation, developing novel approaches and solutions to technical problems.
- Conducts quality control checks, reviewing calculations, designs, evaluations and specifications developed by design staff for accuracy and completeness, performing on-site inspections and reviews, and conducting or overseeing remedial design work.
- Keeps abreast of state-of-the-art methods and developments in area of specialization.
- Recommends changes or improvements to plans and programs.
- May function as the project manager for routine to semi-complex projects. Responsibilities may include marketing, negotiating contracts, budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination and resources allocation.
- Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

About you
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering. M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred.
- This level may be achieved by Engineers with 5-10 years of experience.
- PE Preferred, not required.
- Experience with OpenBridge Modeler (OBM) preferred; Not an expert but brings working proficiency, collaborates effectively in knowledge sharing environments, and demonstrates a commitment to continued professional development.
- Open to minimal travel to the Main District Lake City office.
- FDOT experience is a plus.
- Strong technical writing and communications skills are expected at this level.

Additional information
Expected compensation range is between $90,000-$150,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
