ServiceNow HR Functional Analyst

As a ServiceNow HRSD Business Analyst based in our Bangalore HR Shared Services Centre, you will be responsible for ensuring that HR services delivered through ServiceNow are efficient, consistent, and user‑focused across the organisation.

Working within the HR Service Excellence team, you will act as the functional expert for the ServiceNow HR Service Delivery platform. A core part of the role is understanding how HR services operate today, identifying opportunities to automate manual activity, reduce hand‑offs, and streamline workflows, and translating those opportunities into clear requirements for system enhancements.

You will work closely with HR teams, IT, and external vendors as the bridge between business needs and platform capability. You will help design, optimise, and standardise HR services in ServiceNow by leveraging automation, self‑service, and workflow capabilities to improve employee experience, reduce reliance on manual processing, and improve operational performance.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires regular engagement with global HR stakeholders to ensure the platform continues to meet business needs, supports change initiatives, and evolves in line with organisational priorities.

Your role

  • Process Analysis & Continuous Improvement:
    • Analyse existing HR processes and workflows across ServiceNow HRSD and Workday.
    • Identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for automation or standardisation.
    • Define and document business requirements, user stories, process maps, and functional specifications.
    • Partner with Regional SPOCs to understand operational pain points and prioritise enhancement requests.
    • Translate HR and business requirements into clear, actionable specifications for IT solution design.
  • System Configuration & Platform Management:
    • Work closely with HR, IT, and external partners to design and deliver ServiceNow HRSD and Workday solutions.
    • Support configuration and optimisation of HR Case Management, Employee Centre, Knowledge Management, and related workflows.
    • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across HR systems.
    • Contribute to release planning, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Project & Change Management:
    • Lead and support HR systems initiatives from initiation through to delivery.
    • Develop and manage project plans, milestones, and timelines.
    • Track progress, manage dependencies and risks, and provide regular, clear updates to stakeholders.
    • Support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and system enhancements.
  • User Support, Training & Adoption:
    • Provide expert support to HR users and stakeholders across regions.
    • Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, and knowledge articles.
    • Deliver workshops, drop‑in sessions, or targeted training to drive adoption and effective use of the platform.
    • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate timely resolution with IT and vendors as required.

About you

  • Essential Criteria:
    • Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery, including HR Case Management, Employee Center, and Knowledge Management.
    • Proven experience identifying and delivering automation opportunities within HR services, including the use of workflows, self‑service, and case deflection to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
    • Experience working with Workday, with a solid understanding of HR data, integrations, and the end‑to‑end HR system landscape.
    • Proven experience translating business and HR requirements into IT functional specifications.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, continuous improvement, and standardisation.
    • Experience leading business change and managing HR systems or process improvement projects.
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise and influence at all levels.
    • Strong customer focus and ability to balance individual needs with broader business priorities.
    • Experience handling sensitive data with discretion and in line with data protection legislation.
    • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and documentation.
    • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with a solutions‑focused approach.
  • Desirable Criteria:
    • Experience working within offshore or global HR shared service environments.
    • Experience in HR Service Delivery and/or as a Business Analyst using methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Qualifications:
    • A recognised HR qualification (desirable).
    • ServiceNow certifications, particularly HRSD, are an advantage.
