Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Traffic team in Hong Kong to provide support for technical delivery, including traffic surveys, data processing, CAD/GIS drafting, traffic model development, report production, and project administration tasks.

Your role

  • Assist in the planning, coordination and monitoring of traffic surveys and data collection activities.
  • Process, validate and organize traffic count, journey time, pedestrian and other transportation-related survey data.
  • Support traffic engineering and transport planning studies through data analysis and preparation of technical outputs.
  • Prepare and update engineering drawings, plans, layouts and figures using CAD & GIS
  • Assist project teams in the preparation of reports, presentations, technical submissions and project documentation.
  • Provide support to traffic modelling activities, including data input, model setup, testing and result compilation under the supervision of engineers.
  • Maintain project records and support project administration activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, survey contractors and other stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements, quality procedures and safety standards.

About you

  • Diploma or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Transport Studies or a related discipline.
  • Preferably 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in traffic engineering, survey coordination or engineering support roles.
  • Experience in traffic survey supervision / preparation, traffic data analysis processing, CAD drafting, BIM or GIS mapping would be advantageous.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, OpenRoad or ArcGIS would be advantageous.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of Excel, including data manipulation and chart preparation.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience with traffic engineering, transport planning or traffic modelling software would be an advantage.
