  • Collaborate with diverse national and international design teams, using your technical expertise and leadership to help achieve positive and sustainable outcomes for society and the environment.
  • Lead and support the production and review of design documentation, including sketches, drawings, BIM deliverables, calculations, reports, and specifications, ensuring consistent quality and clarity.

  • Combine hands‑on technical contribution with the opportunity to guide and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge and encouraging professional development.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of capability within the team and wider business, supporting an inclusive, collaborative, and high‑performing culture.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting effective communication and successful project delivery.
  • Stay connected to emerging best practice, innovation, and advances within your area of expertise, helping to keep our rail solutions forward‑looking and resilient.

Key Deliverables

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for civil and structural rail designs across all project stages.
  • Lead and support multi‑disciplinary design teams, fostering collaboration and shared ownership of outcomes.
  • Ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of civil and structural designs with relevant standards and best practice.
  • Contribute to project planning, risk management, and design assurance, supporting on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand project needs and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Support and mentor engineers, helping to develop talent and build an inclusive, high‑performing team culture.
  • Champion innovation, sustainability, and constructability in the development of rail infrastructure solutions.
