Intermediate Electrical Engineer

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer based in Vancouver. You will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering innovative electrical solutions for buildings, rail, and infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to grow your engineering career while contributing to impactful, sustainable projects across Canada.

Your Role

  • Electrical engineering consulting for buildings, rail, or other infrastructure projects.
  • Under the direction of a registered engineer, perform tasks related to electrical systems design for design mandates of medium and high complexity.
  • Support electrical engineering design deliverables for assigned projects, including investigations, report writing, design and construction administration tasks under the direction of a registered engineer of record.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency, accuracy, and neatness of electrical engineering deliverables as part of corporate QA/QC program.
  • Perform site investigations safely including travelling to site (including driving), walking around construction sites, carrying a ladder or other items (approximately 35lbs) around site and climbing ladder to access ceiling space, lowering self to observe electrical systems low to ground, and committing to safety regulations and requirements.
  • Participate in local and corporate sustainability initiatives to positively advance both corporate and industry developments.
  • Review, understand and clearly communicate all relevant client requirements, provide design solutions and recommendations to match those requirements.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
  • Minimum 4 year's'experience in a relevant consulting engineering environment.
  • Use software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office to prepare deliverables as required.
  • English (excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills required).

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $80,000 - $100,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
