Jr. Fuel Engineering Analyst

##Overview

Join AtkinsRéalis' Fuel and Physics department and launch your career in nuclear engineering innovation. As a Junior Fuel Engineering Analyst, you will support the design of new CANDU nuclear power plants and contribute to the operation and refurbishment of existing facilities. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will participate in technical analyses, engineering assessments, and development activities that help deliver safe, reliable, and efficient nuclear energy solutions.

##Your Role

• Perform technical analyses related to fuel design, fuel thermal-hydraulics, fuel operation and safety, ROP, and fuel cycles.
• Assist in the development of analysis basis plans, design verification plans, design requirements, and technical specifications.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams, including deterministic safety analysis and physics specialists.
• Develop design and analysis codes to support engineering projects.
• Produce high-quality technical reports that effectively summarize analytical results.
• Present technical findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collate, review, and summarize results while ensuring compliance with applicable procedures, guidelines, and standards.

##About You

• A relevant undergraduate degree from a university of recognized standing in Engineering or Science;
• Proficiency in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in thermal-fluid sciences, including fluid flow, heat transfer, multi-phase flow, and thermodynamics.
• Proficiency in computer programming, especially Python or Fortran.
• Aptitude for developing finite element models and performing stress analysis.
• Ability to communicate effectively, adapt to changing project needs, and work within a formal QA environment.
