Overview
The Quality Manager reports directly to the Director QA-OEM and is assigned the responsibility, authority, and organizational freedom, to initiate, implement and control the Quality Assurance activities in his/her area of responsibility. Extensive travel throughout Ontario is required.
Your role
- To assist the project team in ensuring satisfactory performance with regard to the project Quality Objectives.
- To represent the project team on matters pertaining quality assurance aspects.
- To ensure that trained, qualified, competent, and as required certified, personnel are assigned to perform quality related activities.
- For quality acceptance of documentation specific to the project scope.
- For evaluating, selecting and monitoring activities performed by project participants.
- To identify, record and report quality problems and problems related to the effective implementation of the project Quality Assurance Manual or project Plan.
- To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to such problems through designated channels.
- To verify and confirm implementation and effectiveness of solutions.

About you
- University degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 10-15 years practical working experience in a relevant nuclear field including supervisory role.
- Experience in major multi-discipline project teams and interacting with other disciplines and external parties (e.g. Customers, suppliers, etc.).
- Basic computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment and techniques.
- Working knowledge of CSA N285.0, CSA N299, CSA N286-12, and ASME code.
- Demonstrated leadership and the ability to make a substantial contribution to the execution of department and project initiatives.
- Must possess sound judgment and diplomacy in managing project tasks.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Technical knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
