Senior Civil Structural Engineer

Overview


Join one of Canada's largest and most experienced hydroelectric engineering teams and contribute to innovative projects that help shape the future of energy infrastructure. As a Structural Civil Engineer within the Hydropower and Dams business unit, you will work alongside multidisciplinary engineering professionals on the analysis, design, and rehabilitation of structures supporting hydroelectric projects across Canada and internationally.


Your Role


  • Perform the structural design of hydraulic structures, hydroelectric generating stations, and related concrete and steel structures.
  • Contribute to the rehabilitation of hydraulic structures, hydroelectric facilities, and associated infrastructure.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary activities and support or lead design meetings.
  • Produce preliminary and detailed engineering deliverables.
  • Prepare and verify structural calculations and supporting calculation notes.
  • Participate in the development of design reports, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Support and oversee the production of technical deliverables for tendering and construction purposes.

About You


  • Ability to hold a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in structural engineering; a master's degree is considered an asset.
  • Ability to demonstrate 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the design of building structures, bridges, engineering structures, and/or hydraulic structures.
  • Ability to be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or be in the process of obtaining membership.
  • Proficiency in ADA (Advanced Design America), SAP2000, MathCAD, and CADAM 3D software.
  • Aptitude for conducting site visits and occasional travel.
  • Practical field experience supporting engineering, construction, operations, or maintenance activities is an asset.

Expected compensation for this unionized role is of ==$xxx.00 hourly==. Base salaries are determined according to the compensation range of the Collective Agreement.
