Overview

AtkinsRéalis is a world‑class engineering and nuclear organization with more than 60 years of experience supporting the nuclear industry in Canada and internationally. As the steward of Canadian CANDU® technology, our Nuclear Canada business continues to grow through major new build programs both domestically and abroad.
We are seeking an experienced executive leader to play a critical role in the safe, compliant, and predictable delivery of nuclear new build construction programs.

Your Role

  • Lead and govern all site construction activities for a nuclear new build project, ensuring safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and schedule predictability.
  • Establish and oversee construction execution strategies that translate engineering intent into field‑ready, licensable work.
  • Define and govern construction processes, management systems, and procedures across planning, execution, quality, and turnover.
  • Drive integrated construction planning, work packaging, workface planning, and modularization strategies to maximize productivity and minimize risk.
  • Provide executive oversight of EPCm partners and construction contractors, ensuring clear interfaces, accountability, and performance.
  • Champion nuclear safety culture, quality excellence, and disciplined execution across site and partner organizations.
  • Represent construction delivery performance in executive, regulatory, and stakeholder forums, providing clear and credible reporting.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 20+ years of progressive construction leadership experience, including:
  • Large, complex, regulated infrastructure projects
  • Executive leadership roles on major capital programs
  • Demonstrated large project experience, including new build or major nuclear facilities.
  • Proven capability in:
  • Construction planning and workface planning
  • Construction engineering and constructability
  • Modularization and productivity improvement
  • Estimating, forecasting, and cost control
  • Executive role on a nuclear FOAK or major new build project, preferred.
  • Experience in unionized labour environments, preferred.
  • Aptitude for establishing and governing construction management systems, work packaging, and workface planning frameworks.
  • Ability to inspire, build, and manage high‑performing construction leadership teams.
  • Strong judgment, communication skills, and credibility when engaging with senior executives, regulators, and partners.
