Come join us in reshaping the future with AtkinsRéalis. AtkinsRéalis is seeking a LOTO Manager to join our team in Toronto,Ontario. This role will support a transformative transit infrastructure project and will be part of a high-performing project team that is dedicated to delivering this complex undertaking through collaboration and a best-for-project vision.

Acting as the designated Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Specialist, providing technical expertise on hazardous energy control and equipment isolation, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining LOTO procedures, conducting compliance reviews, and training personnel to ensure safe work practices and regulatory compliance.


Your role

  • Implement the project's LOTO procedures.
  • Review and approve complex LOTO plans when required.
  • Conduct audits to verify compliance with LOTO processes.
  • Deliver LOTO training to project personnel.
  • Coordinate permits and high-risk work activities among multiple groups.
  • Participate in construction and commissioning permit meetings.
  • Verify risk mitigation measures and safe work execution.

About you

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Red Seal Electrical Journeyman certification (or equivalent related qualification).
  • Experience in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) management during construction and commissioning phases of projects.
  • Experience in rail, energy, or industrial projects was preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of electrical isolation/de-energization requirements and related safety best practices.
  • Strong understanding of permit-to-work and permitting processes.
  • Broad technical and working knowledge of construction and commissioning operations.
  • Ability to lead and influence contractors and subcontractors involved in high-risk work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with strong writing skills and attention to detail.

Expected compensation for this role is between $150,000 - $180,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
