Our growing Social Value Service Line supports our engagement with clients, our service offering and the communities we work in. As a result, our team members gain experience of some of the world's largest and most challenging projects, working with a diverse range of clients and communities in different countries, and across many sectors including water, oil and gas, power, renewables, infrastructure and the built environment.
AtkinsRéalis are looking to appoint an Associate Social Value Consultant to support the development of Social Value Consultancy Services within our UK&I business. We are flexible about the sector you come from as it is more important to us that your experience and drive comes from wanting to create better communities for everyone, in environments that we all want to live in and be a part of.
This role is intended to be a full-time role however if you are interested in part time working, please do speak to us. The role will require you to be in the office/on site a minimum of 3 days per week and regular travel as projects demand. There is flexibility to work from home up the remaining two days per week.
Your role
You will need to be able to:
- Create and maintain strong relationships with our clients' promoting Social Value services and other services from within AtkinsRéalis.
- Design and deliver social value strategies for key client accounts, understanding the client's maturity needs and drivers and identify opportunities to enhance our approach.
- Lead Social Value delivery programmes including joint-venture working as projects require.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to project teams and junior members of staff on social value principles, practices and delivery.
- Play an active part in business development for the team – including network building, identification of opportunities, win work, client presentations.
- Support bids, tenders, and proposals by articulating social value programmes, commitments and approaches.
- Engage with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, community groups, and local authorities, to identify opportunities and maximise social value outcomes.
- Represent the organisation at events, forums, and working groups focused on social value.

We are looking for someone who is:
- An inspiring leader with experience of managing Social Value programmes within a variety of organisations across various markets.
- A strong communicator, with the ability to influence and engage a wide variety of audiences including internal leaders, clients and multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Skilled in developing and maintaining client relationships, promoting AtkinsRéalis' services.
- Confident in managing senior stakeholders, influencing at the highest levels, and working collaboratively across departments to maximise opportunities.
- Resilient under pressure and attentive to detail, you will combine problem-solving skills with a proactive, ambitious approach.
- Understanding of the key drivers and developments in social value delivery in the UK and experience of applying this knowledge.
- Understanding of, and practical experience in using social value metrics in the measurement, monitoring and reporting of social outcomes and impact.
