Your role

  • Coordinate the integration of discipline‑specific BIM models into project federated models while ensuring alignment with project standards and established workflows.

  • Develop and maintain internal workflows for assembling, managing, and tracking BIM model versions within enterprise document management systems (e.g., ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint).

  • Identify inconsistencies or conflicts within federated models and communicate issues to design teams for timely resolution.

  • Update BIM models, associated metadata, and digital assets to the latest approved software versions used by the organization.

  • Prepare, maintain, and organize coordination files, technical documentation, and model records in accordance with BEP requirements, ISO 19650 principles, and project standards.

  • Respond to requests for drawings, reports, model extracts, and technical materials required by design, engineering, and construction teams.

  • Collaborate with internal and external project stakeholders to develop and document workflows, naming conventions, turnover procedures, and filing structures for technical records (O&M manuals, studies, CAD/GIS/BIM data, drawings, inventories, etc.).

  • Organize and facilitate BIM coordination reviews, technical meetings, and workshops, documenting issues and ensuring follow‑up actions are completed.

  • Review BIM models and produce views, sections, and details with appropriate location, scope, and Level of Detail.

  • Support the receipt, archiving, and maintenance of digital and physical technical documentation, drawings, BIM/CAD/GIS datasets, manuals, and reports.

  • Prepare transmittal records, NDAs, and documentation packages for external distribution.

  • Maintain classification and attribution systems for documents, drawings, models, and datasets within document management platforms.

  • Contribute to periodic updates of BIM, CAD, GIS, and technical standards; recommend improvements aligned with evolving technologies and industry best practices.

  • Participate in implementing BEP requirements and enhancing modeling and coordination workflows.

  • Provide training, guidance, mentoring, and support on BIM and document control standards to internal team members.

  • Support the professional development of staff working with BIM and digital project delivery processes.

About you

  • Bachelor'S or Master's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, computer science, or a related field.

  • Professional designation or BIM certification is considered an asset.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with technical construction drawings and/or documents, including experience as a BIM Specialist or BIM Coordinator.

  • Experience in infrastructure, transportation, rail, or general construction projects is preferred.

  • Demonstrable experience with enterprise‑grade document and construction management systems such as:

    • Bentley ProjectWise.

    • Autodesk Construction Cloud.

    • SharePoint.

  • Experience with CAD and GIS technologies including:

    • Bentley MicroStation.

    • OpenRoads Designer.

    • ESRI ArcGIS.

  • Scripting experience (Dynamo, Python) considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650), LOD frameworks, BEP implementation, and collaborative project delivery processes.

  • Ability to organize, classify, document, and maintain coordination files and technical records.

  • Strong proficiency with BIM authoring tools, preferably Autodesk Revit, with experience managing federated models and performing clash detection.

  • Familiarity with standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Project, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • English required (spoken and written); French is an asset but not mandatory.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of improving workflows and documentation processes.

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary environments.
