Overview

Take the lead in global nuclear safety.

Are you ready to take up a vital role in shaping some of our exciting projects? How about joining our talented team, where everyone has a voice, and together we face our clients' problems head-on. It's'a diverse and inclusive work environment where world-class talent knows no distinctions.
We know that different people have different priorities, which is why we're here to support you. Flexible and remote working is a central part of our culture. So talk to us about what's'ideal for you – from reduced weeks to buying more leave over school holidays. And if you're returning from a career break, ask us how we can help you transition back into work with us.

As a Civil Structural Engineer in our Nuclear, you'll be playing a central role, creating spaces and places that matter. We've been in the sector for over 50 years and delivered over 7 million workhours, which makes us the most prominent nuclear new-build organisation in the UK. In this highly technical role, you'll work end-to-end on a broad range of projects with plenty of opportunities to grow and challenge yourself. You will be working a minimum of 3 days per week from a Power New Build office or client office.

Your role

Are you an innovative civil or structural engineer or consultant who is capable of agile, lateral thinking and enjoys developing a wide range of different technical and management skills to deliver exciting projects? Do you aspire to develop in a niche industry utilising your technical experience in design, finite element analysis and assessment as well as your soft skills in client engagement and engineering management?

Are you nearly or recently chartered with a recognised civil or structural engineering institution (IStructE, ICE or other) in your current job, but want to invigorate your career and bolster your portfolio with exciting new projects within a buoyant industry? We would enjoy supporting this transition with our skilled and experienced mentors and would like to hear from you.

We are looking for full time civil and structural engineers to join our growing team in our Bristol office to lead a wide range of new build nuclear projects including Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, SMRs and future fusion technologies. You will enjoy cultivating strong working relationships and developing your technical skills and management expertise to delivery outstanding results for our clients.

Your experience in any of the following would be beneficial to the role but not all are required to apply:

  • You have a relevant level of professional experience which could be derived from civil-structural design and analysis (steelwork and/or reinforced concrete), research and development, project engineering or design consultancy.
  • You can undertake and/or review the design of new building structures.
  • You can work collaboratively from our offices and across our client sites to understand clients' needs and deliver to time, cost and quality.
