Overview
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, maintaining and troubleshooting desktop hardware and software, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for technology.
Your role
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, peripherals, and software applications.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems.
- Assist with the setup and deployment of new equipment.
- Provide support to video conference room and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions and ensure tickets are closed within the Service Level Agreements (SLA) period.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless IT operations.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices and IT policies. This may include writing end user documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.

About you
- A college diploma in Information Technology, or equivalent work experience in the field.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office 365.
- Strong knowledge in the installation and configuration of workstations and their peripherals including mobile phones.
- Eligibility to secure a LEVEL II – SECRET security clearance, demonstrating trustworthiness and responsibility.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for addressing complex technical challenges.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals.
- Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment.
- A customer-centric approach, consistently delivering service that meets and exceeds expectations.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in French considered an asset, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Preferred Certification:
- Collegial diploma in Information Technology.
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience.
Working conditions:
- May have to lift equipment weighing up to 30 kilos.
- May have to work at other offices near the main office.
- Occasional overtime work on evening and weekends.
