Overview

Join AtkinsRéalis and contribute to the reliable operation of critical building systems in Newfoundland. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is part of a team dedicated to maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing facilities.

Your role

  • Perform scheduled preventive and general maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems.

  • Monitor environmental and building protection systems to ensure reliable operation.

  • Support the maintenance and operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical distribution, lighting, and water treatment systems.

  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to tenant needs in a professional manner.

  • Identify and address operational issues to support facility performance and reliability.

  • Comply with all Occupational Health and Safety legislation, standards, policies, procedures, and practices.

About you

  • Proficiency in building systems maintenance supported by a certificate in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, or a recognized Building Systems Technician program, with at least 2 years of related experience.

  • Working knowledge of environmental, mechanical, electrical, life safety, and DDC systems in office and warehouse facilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

  • Ability to make effective technical decisions in emergency situations and work independently or collaboratively within a team.

  • Aptitude for delivering excellent customer service, supported by strong verbal and written communication skills and a valid driver's license with access to a personal vehicle.

* Note: The candidate must be willing and able to work after hours and weekends as required and to be available for standby rotation to respond to afterhours service requests.

Additional information

Expected compensation for this role is between $55,300 - $70,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
