Overview

The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon and AtkinsRealis located in Kincardine, Ontario. Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor. This project is part of Bruce Power's Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power's CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Administrator is to provide administrative assistance to the Quality department.

Your role

  • Data entry into the internally developed tracking system – ICMS.
  • Copying, filing, scanning and organization of essential Quality documents including but not limited to:
    • NDE Reports.
    • PWHT Reports.
    • Welding Procedures.
    • Weld Maps.
    • As Built drawings.
  • Creation of accurate as-built drawings and P&ID mark-ups.
  • Coordination of NDE activities.
  • The maintenance of common logs i.e. Calibration, NCR, NDE certifications etc.
  • Compilation of essential Quality documents to form a final Manufacturers Record Book.
  • Final review of Weld Maps, Spool/Drawing History for accuracy and completeness.

About you

  • Construction industry knowledge and experience would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in an administrative or coordination role in the quality field.
  • Nuclear experience is preferred.
  • The ability to work in a group setting as well as individually.
  • The ability to understand and interpret information.
  • To ability to follow correct procedures.
  • The ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills – MS Office.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong reading skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The confidence to liaise with Clients on occasion.

Physical Demands:

  • When on a construction site, may be subject to extreme noise and heat. May be expected to climb ladders or wear fall protection depending on job location.

Other Qualifications:

  • Due to the nature of work conducted by Aecon, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment.
  • Our background check process includes a full security check and clearance process as well as reference checks. The security clearance process includes a comprehensive list of previous residences, employment, education and other pertinent information. Those with a valid Bruce Power security clearance are strongly preferred.
