Overview
Lead and coordinate all civil, structural, geotechnical, water systems, underground structures, and site development activities for the Monark-D Program. Act as the key technical and project interface between engineering teams, utilities, contractors, procurement, and external partners to ensure successful delivery of Balance of Plant (BOP) scope.
Your Role
- Lead civil engineering design strategy, site layout planning, and technical decision-making.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, geotechnical, hydrology, and water systems engineering.
- Manage critical interfaces between Nuclear Island, Conventional Island, cooling water systems, underground structures, and site infrastructure.
- Support procurement by developing technical requirements, evaluating bids, and assessing suppliers and engineering partners.
- Interface with major stakeholders including OPG, Bruce Power, engineering consultants, Indigenous partners, and utilities.
- Oversee project delivery by managing scope, schedule, costs, risks, and engineering milestones.
- Provide technical oversight for cooling water intake/outfall systems, tunnels, shafts, seismic design, structural steel and concrete structures, roads, site development, and geotechnical investigations.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation required.
- PMP certification is an asset.
- 10+ years of engineering experience, with previous experience in nuclear, power generation, major infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong background in large-scale civil infrastructure such as cooling water systems, tunnels, marine structures, dams, heavy industrial facilities, or nuclear projects.
- Experience working with utilities, regulators, contractors, and external stakeholders.
