Growth, gratitude, and going the extra mile: Sujith’s journey of learning, collaboration & confidence.

When Sujith reflects on his professional journey so far, one thing becomes clear - every step, every role, and every challenge has shaped him with purpose.

With over seven years of experience in the corporate space, Sujith brings a blend of financial expertise, curiosity, and people‑centric energy to everything he does. Before joining AtkinsRéalis, his prior experiences sharpened his analytical mindset and exposed him to diverse business functions.

Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Christ University, an MBA from Liverpool University, and the prestigious Certified Management Accountant (CMA US) qualification, Sujith has always believed in strengthening his foundation while continuously reaching for more.

Outside the spreadsheets and dashboards, he’s someone who loves movies, cricket, and moments that bring people together, a theme that carries through every part of his journey here.

Three years at AtkinsRéalis and a culture that feels vibrant

It’s been three years now, Sujith says, and what stands out the most is how energetic and people‑first the culture is.  In Finance Shared Services (FSS), the environment goes far beyond day‑to‑day tasks. With a dedicated Fun Committee, team outings, cultural events, and even an FSSPL (Finance Shared Services Premier League) cricket tournament, Sujith describes the culture as one that makes collaboration natural and workdays lighter. These activities bring people together. They make you feel connected, not just as colleagues, but as a team.

A promotion that fuelled confidence

“I’m really proud that I got promoted within just 1.5 years of joining the company,” he shares. “It gave me immense confidence to go the extra mile.” But his growth wasn’t limited to titles.
Sujith has represented his team during overseas stakeholder visits, facilitated value moments, and contributed to key FSS initiatives, opportunities that stretched him, challenged him, and helped him grow.

Turning knowledge into impact

One thing that Sujith appreciates deeply is how AtkinsRéalis values continuous learning. As a CMA professional, he felt seen and supported from day one. The organisation didn’t just recognise my certification, it placed me in a role where I could apply it and create meaningful value. The company also reimburses his professional membership every year, a gesture that reinforced how seriously the organisation treats expertise. His passion for education even led him to present on the importance of certified courses as part of the AtkinsRéalis Employee Education Sponsorship initiative.

Innovation through curiosity

Continuous improvement is at the heart of Sujith’s work. The culture here encourages us to think differently,” he shares. His project on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using Power Automate is a standout example, an initiative that streamlined processes, drew appreciation from leadership, and inspired knowledgesharing sessions across FSS.
Innovation here isn’t just encouraged. It’s celebrated.

A workplace built on diversity and respect

In his team, Management Accounting - diversity isn’t a statement; it’s lived reality. We have colleagues from different states, cultures, and languages. That diversity brings new ways of thinking.

The company’s hybrid and WFH flexibility further supports this inclusiveness, enabling smoother collaboration across varied backgrounds.

Success through teamwork

The One ERP implementation for the UK and Middle East markets was a defining example of teamwork in action.

We collaborated with multiple cross‑functional teams, attending trainings, understanding the tool, and adapting together.

For Sujith, it reinforced something he has always believed: great outcomes come from shared responsibility.

Work‑life balance, made better with flexibility

The hybrid model has been a game changer. It allows flexibility from any location and makes it easier to balance personal and professional priorities.
For someone who values discipline, balance, and growth, this flexibility adds real value.

Leadership that leads by example

To Sujith, great leaders share two qualities:

1. They walk the talk: Integrity in actions, consistency in expectations, and clarity in their vision.

2. They listen and stay approachable: Leaders who create space for conversations, without judgement are the ones who inspire confidence.
His advice for future leaders is clear:

Be an active listener. Be approachable. Be accountable. When people trust you, leadership happens naturally.

A strong future - built on sustainability, innovation & bold thinking

Looking ahead, Sujith sees a promising horizon.

With our sustainability focused projects, especially in nuclear and the company’s strong investment in automation and digital innovation, AtkinsRéalis has the potential to be a market leader in the next five years. The organisation’s bold brand presence, like the F1 sponsorship, signals confidence and ambition, traits that align with Sujith’s own approach to growth.

If you’re looking to grow in a culture that values people, passion, and possibility, this is your place. Come, join our team and build your journey with us.
