AtkinsRéalis is growing rapidly in Australia with new project wins offering exciting opportunities to learn and develop. Our regional business servicing the Australia & New Zealand markets is divided into three sectors: Consulting & Advisory, Program & Project management and Design & Engineering. We're looking to grow our teams in each area.

We have plans to expand our existing team of 120 talented individuals across the East Coast of Australia and are in search for experienced, agile engineers to join us in this exciting growth phase.

Role Summary

AtkinsRéalis’ Engineering Design business provides multidisciplinary engineering services and integrated solutions across a wide range of projects and markets.

We are currently on the lookout for an established BIM Leader, who can take responsibility for the design, management and delivery of our holistic BIM functions. You will be running the Australian BIM team and configurations, as well as liaising with our broader Global BIM function to ensure AtkinsRéalis continues to be at the forefront of technological advances within Engineering Design.

 Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the BIM team locally as well as regularly coordinating with the Global team

  • Implementation and continued management of BIM strategies, requirements, and Management Plans across multiple major projects within the Rewnewable Energy space  

  • Working alongside the Design, Advisory and Delivery teams to integrate relevant information, set up and deliver programmes as well as enforce BIM standards project wide

  • Manage our information exchange protocols, focussing on interoperability, programme, QA, frequency, purpose of exchange.

  • Ensure information management processes (ISO19650) and collaborative behaviours are fully embraced.

  • Integret the ethos of BIM delivery within the team, including focused appraisal of teams capability and requirements for training.

  • Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE), project model environment, model federation, data quality checking process, model coordination and deliverable generation.

  • Work in conjunction with the document control and design teams to ensure delivery of the information requirements is in line with BEP.

Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities

  • Demonstrable experience working as a BIM Lead, within a multi-disciplinary design practice in engineering, design or construction

  • Must have knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, InfraWorks and other BIM authoring Platforms such as ACC, Revizto

  • Hands on experience of delivering multi-discipline projects and enforcing BIM and quality assurance standards.

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage priorities and take on additional evolving responsibilities.

  • Constantly striving towards continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Flexible and engaging with resilience, drive and self-motivation.

  • Happy taking ownership of project rollouts

  • Proficient in oral and written communications skills.

  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering or an equivalent
