Lead/Principal Transport Planner

We are looking for a Lead/Principal Transport Planner (Strategic Modelling) to join our team. This role will be based at our AtkinsRéalis office in Bangalore/Gurgaon, India.

Your role

  • Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (Bachelor's Degree with Master's degree in transport planning/ transportation engineering).
  • Working experience (10 to 15 years) in Transport Planning software like VISUM, CUBE, EMME, SATURN, DIADEM.
  • Experience and knowledge of Strategic Modelling techniques and guidance.
  • Knowledge of the technical transport planning environment
  • Strong numerate and analytical abilities, including a high degree of competence in MS Excel
  • Experience in programming skills like Python, PowerBI, Excel-VBA and R.
  • Able to write a quality technical report
  • Ability to work in a team as part of a wider project
  • Good written communication skills
  • Be able to work individually.
  • Be able to delegate the tasks

About you

  • Be highly self-motivated and ambitious.
  • Be able to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers.
  • Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Knowledge and experience of UK/ME regional modelling guidance and approaches
  • Experience in the use of analytical and research tools such as GIS and the use of databases
  • An appreciation of the transport industry and related policy context
  • Professional membership of a relevant institution.
  • Experience in leading smaller teams as part of a project delivery
  • Experience in handling task management.
