We are seeking an Airport Civil Engineer based out of our Nashville, Tennessee or Atlanta, Georgia office. This candidate will work alongside other engineers developing, planning, designing, and monitoring the construction of airside and landside airport improvement projects in Tennessee and throughout the country. This position has the opportunity to work ~50% of the time in a remote capacity.

How will you contribute to the team?

• Plans, designs, and leads production of engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, roadway, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure.
• Prepares specifications, contract documents, and other project related documents such as reports, estimates, and permit applications.
• Conducts engineering investigations and planning work including collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
• Researches project site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
• Performs field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Coordinates with clients, permitting agencies, FAA, and other agencies having jurisdiction as required.
• Participates in quality control checks, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, checking computations, and/or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others.
• Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering in Engineering and have 3-5 years of experience.
• EIT strongly preferred  
• Experience with aviation and civil engineering projects.
• Understanding of engineering standards, including airport design standards.
• Grasp of engineering reference books, including FAA Advisory Circulars and regulatory agency guidelines.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong technical writing and communications skills.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
