The contract – comprising both a 220 kV gas-insulated substation (GIS) and the facilitation of a 400 kV air-insulated switchgear (AIS) extension – was awarded by M/S Power Grid on behalf of Dharamjaigarh Transmission Ltd.

“We are honoured to receive this mandate,” said Dinesh Chadha, Managing Director of Linxon India. “This substation will further strengthen the region’s transmission system, while further demonstrating the confidence clients have in our capabilities.”

In February 2021, Linxon India also successfully commissioned the first 400 kV gas insulated substation (GIS) at Dhalkebar in neighbouring Nepal, an important milestone for the country’s hydropower sector.
