We are seeking a Laborer Energy to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN.

How will you contribute to the team?  

  • Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk.

  • Perform general housekeeping duties, material handling, moving furniture and other objects.

  • Clean grounds, gutters, buildings, walkways, and shops.

  • Follow proper safety procedures and work safely under all types of conditions, outside in inclement weather, and in radiological areas requiring special protective clothing and wearing a respirator.

  • Perform manual work including manual excavation, moving furniture, loading, and unloading materials, support waste handling and disposal activities.

  • Distribute de-icing materials and remove snow as needed.

  • Safely use chemicals such as pesticides and cleaning solutions.

  • Assist in work planning, perform work in accordance with work control requirements, minor work in support of trades.

  • Supports the execution of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and the Isotek Safety Culture.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you contribute? 

  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.

  • This is an entry-level position.

  • Must be able to push, pull, lift a maximum of 50 pounds, and do repetitive bending, and squatting.

  • Must have basic operational skills of pallet jacks, lift gates and drum transporters.

  • Must be able to perform manual work such as digging, moving heavy furniture and other objects, and maintaining roadways.

  • Must be able to perform basic trade skill and observe all safety rules and regulations.

  • Must be in good physical condition.

  • Must be able to pass a drug screening test.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Experience in general janitorial work or in work associated with routine cleaning preferred.

  • One year of general labor related experience in the following tasks, including but not limited to: Grass cutting and trimming. tree and shrub planning and pruning, heavy brush cutting and cleaning. clearing grounds, walks, and shops preferred.

  • Formal training programs and industrial experience are preferred.

  • Ability to obtain a DOE “Q” clearance.

  • Ability to meet enrollment requirements for the DOE Human Reliability Program (HRP).

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter.

  • U.S. citizenship required for Isotek Systems, LLC, Project positions.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.
